The Language of Flowers

The Language of Flowers

Flowers, Art, and a Lifelong Source of Inspiration

Some of my earliest memories are of sitting beside my mother in her art studio. She would gather a few flowers from the garden, place them in front of me, and encourage me to really look. Not just at the color, but at the curves of each petal, the delicate lines of a leaf, the way a stem bends toward the light. As I carefully translated what I saw onto the page, I began to understand that flowers were more than something beautiful. They had personality. They held life. Even as a little girl, I sensed a deeper meaning.

Looking back, I realize those afternoons shaped the way I see the world. Flowers have found their way into nearly everything I've created, from embroidered wedding gowns to the objects I choose to live with every day. They remind me to slow down, to notice the smallest details, and to see the artistry that exists all around us in nature.

Bringing the Garden Home

Perhaps that's why I fell in love with these painterly floral plates the moment I saw them. Each one feels like a tiny work of art, as though someone captured a page from a botanical sketchbook and transformed it into something to enjoy every day. And the bluebird salt and pepper set? I couldn't resist!

Beautiful Thigs to Give, Collect, and Enjoy

I've always loved searching for beautiful things that feel a little unexpected. The kinds of pieces that make you smile when you see them, and become part of your home and your story. That's really what "For the Love of" has become, a thoughtfully curated collection of objects chosen because they bring joy. In a world of endless scrolling and so much sameness, I hope we've created a place where it's effortless to discover something that truly delights. Many of you return to us looking for just that. Beautiful things to give, to collect, and to enjoy for special occasions, and every day.

In Bloom: A Curated Floral Gift Collection

One flower has a way of making us smile. A collection of them can tell a story. That idea inspired our first Curated Gift Collection, In Bloom. I wanted to gather together a few of my favorite floral pieces that feel as though they naturally belong together. A set of painterly flower plates, cheerful bluebirds in the most charming salt & pepper set for the table, a delicate Forget-Me-Not necklace to wear every day, the soft scent of rosewood and mandarin, and a pop-up bloom that never fades. Presented in our heirloom keepsake box, In Bloom is designed to be given as a truly thoughtful gift, whether you're celebrating a birthday, thanking a gracious hostess, welcoming a friend to a new home, or simply letting someone know you're thinking of them.
